We are happy to share that our Ohio Masonic Home Foundation team is growing. In an effort to help build new connections, Amber Rose was recently hired as the new Director of Development.
Amber has served the greater Dayton community through fundraising and community engagement for more than 15 years. She comes to The Ohio Masonic Home Foundation after fundraising leadership in the social services, arts, and most recently healthcare.
Connecting people to their passions is where Amber excels and she has dedicated herself to the field of philanthropy by earning her CFRE (Certified Fundraising Executive) and being named a 40 Under 40 by the Association of Healthcare Philanthropy.
Amber and her husband Chris share interests including traveling, boating, and exploring new golf courses. As with most couples, they also spend a fair amount of their time debating over what’s for dinner. Cooking is one of their love languages and they love preparing meals for their family and friends. Mildly obsessed with the Dayton Flyers, you’ll find Amber wearing her red shoes and cheering loudly at every home game.
When asked why she chooses this work, Amber replied, “I love people! Hearing stories and sharing memories is one of my passions. It’s not my job to ask for money, it’s my calling to connect people to the work we’re doing. To help them see how they can change the lives of others and create a legacy of generosity.”
