In 1937, 5-year-old Richard "Dick" Snow began a new chapter of his life at The Ohio Masonic Home (now Springfield Masonic Community) in Springfield, Ohio. Before his father's passing, he entrusted Dick and his brother to the care of the Brothers of York Lodge No. 563, confident they would provide the support his family would soon need.
That promise changed the course of his life.
What Dick found was far more than a place to live. He found stability, opportunity, mentors, and a community that invested in his future. He graduated from Springfield High School, served in the U.S. Marine Corps, and remained connected to the place that helped shape his life. Today, nearly 86 years after first arriving, Dick and his wife, Marjorie, have come full circle, once again calling Springfield Masonic Community home.
The strength of our Fraternity has never been measured by words alone, but by the promises we keep for one another.
Our same commitment continues today through The Ohio Masonic Communities Foundation. Your generosity helps ensure that Masons, their families, and those we serve receive compassionate care, support, and opportunity when they need it most.
Dick's story began with the promise of our Fraternity. Your generosity helps ensure that same promise reaches future generations.
