A Season of Light and Legacy
My Dear Brethren,
As the warmth of summer surrounds us, there is a similar heat rising in our Fraternity - one not caused by the blistering summer sun, but by the Sacred Flame of Freemasonry itself. Across the state of Ohio, Brethren are gathering in incredible numbers, Lodges are alive with purpose, and there is a renewed energy that reminds us why we first knocked at the door of this ancient and honorable institution. The season mirrors the spirit of our Craft, one overflowing with light and life, and brimming with incredible potential.
Our Brothers have heard me share that Freemasonry in Ohio is on fire. This is not a fire of chaos, but one ignited by the brilliance of transformation. It has been my honor to witness firsthand how our Brethren are striving to Be Legendary: not just in word, but in action. Whether mentoring a new Brother, supporting our communities, or deepening our understanding of our Masonic mysteries, we are living the Craft. We are not simply maintaining Masonic culture; we are shaping it, elevating it, and making it a vital and inspiring part of our everyday lives.
It is hard to believe there is any sort of “Summer Darkness” when the Sacred Flame of Freemasonry is burning so brightly – and so may it ever be!
I invite each of you to carry this momentum forward and mark your calendars for The Grand Master's Masonic Weekend, September 12–14, 2025, at the historic Canton Masonic Temple. This extraordinary event is more than a gathering - it is a celebration of who we are and who we are becoming. As we enjoy the long days of summer, let us also reflect on the light we carry within. Freemasonry is not just a set of rituals. It is a culture of honor, growth, and connection.
