The resource center was the recipient of two generous toy drives this holiday season. District 9 President Chris Gibbs offered to collect toys at the district holiday party, while Cathy Furrow, Secretary of the Oliver Chapter of Eastern Star, also organized a toy collection. In addition, WB Perks suggested that the donated toys be distributed to Holiday Outreach Giving Tree families.
Presents for the Giving Tree families were delivered by dedicated Masonic Volunteer Program (MVP) volunteers. Mark Bruns of Aerospace Lodge #800, Chris Gibbs of Madison Lodge #221, Joel Swords of H.S. Kissell Lodge #674, and Mike Stasiak (MVP Committee Chairman) of Lancaster Lodge #57 answered the call to help deliver presents to families across Central Ohio. We could not have served as many families this year without their support.
Through the Holiday Outreach Program, The Ohio Masonic Communities Resource Center helped 105 households, serving 200 individuals. This includes 15 families with children so they could experience a brighter holiday season. The resource center is deeply appreciative of everyone who donated and sponsored children from the Giving Tree, including Western Reverse Masonic Community and The Ohio Masonic Communities’ employees, as well as those who volunteered their time to help deliver presents.
A special thank you to the many volunteers who have assisted with toy drives, basket giveaways, cards, gifts, breakfast with Santa, and beyond, from Christmas outreach to helping throughout the year! We appreciate you!
