Our Award Winning Campuses

Each year the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) provides ratings for every nursing home in the country. It’s designed to give everyone a way to compare facilities or communities and make sure they can choose the best quality care for themselves or a loved one.

Their rating system is complex, but it includes measuring health inspections, staffing, and overall quality during annual onsite visits. A star rating is awarded for each of the three categories and an overall star rating is awarded. An overall 5-star rating is awarded to the top 10% of skilled nursing care providers in each state.

The Ohio Masonic Communities is proud that Springfield Masonic Community and Western Reserve Masonic Community have both maintained 5-star ratings. This puts them among the best of the best and is recognition of the hard work and dedication of the teams at each campus. While Browning Masonic Community is not eligible for a star rating from CMS because they do not offer skilled nursing care, their team is also committed to providing 5-star quality the community depends on.

As part of this year’s rating, Springfield Masonic Community achieved a 5-star rating in all three categories (health inspections, staffing, and overall quality) in addition to their overall 5-star rating. This is nearly impossible to do, and there are only five other facilities in Ohio who have currently achieved this. Congratulations to Springfield Masonic Community for being in the top 1% of providers in the state and country!

In addition to their 5-star accolades, Springfield Masonic Community and Western Reserve Masonic Community received recognition from Newsweek for the quality of care provided by their Healthcare Centers. To assist older adults and their loved ones in considering care options, Newsweek and Statista partnered to rank America’s Best Nursing Homes of 2025. This year’s list recognizes 1,050 nursing homes out of 14, 858 analyzed nationwide. Both Healthcare Centers were ranked in the top 30 for Ohio facilities with 50-99 patients. In all, only 73 of Ohio’s 948 facilities were recognized. Congratulations to the teams at Springfield Masonic Community and Western Reserve Masonic Community on being recognized with this honor!
