Brethren, Ladies and Families,
I hope this letter finds you well and that you are enjoying your summer. It has been a busy time here at The Ohio Masonic Communities.
In early June, we held our annual Golf Classic which raises funds for our Connecting Realities Memory
Support Programming and had another very successful day. These funds allow us to provide state-of-the-art care settings and unparalleled care and connectivity for those we are so blessed to serve. We were able to honor many of our veterans through Dream Flights events at all three of our campuses. This annual event has rewarded many of our veteran residents to experience a flight in a Stearman WWII Biplane, made possible by the generosity of Darryl Fisher, Founder. What an amazing experience for our residents, their families, and our staff. The joy that this experience provides to our residents reflects the passion we have for the work we do every day.
As many of you know, we were unable to hold our Annual Home Day Celebration in 2020. However, we still hosted fireworks for residents and staff on each campus. Since then, we have continued to plan and host annual Community Fest events at our three campuses in Medina, Springfield, and Waterville, Ohio. Open to everyone, these events have grown significantly over the past few years and have elevated to the point that we now host three “Home Days” annually. We were especially excited this year to have the 9th Masonic District participate in Community Fest at Springfield Masonic Community. Word has it, they sold out of all their dogs and burgers! What an amazing opportunity to open our campuses to the community and show them Masonic hospitality. Our residents, staff, and their family members look forward each year to good food, fun and fireworks.
Exciting things are happening at Springfield Masonic Community as our repositioning project continues to progress. This expansion will allow us to continue to provide the highest quality care with state-of-the-art facilities and technology.
Be sure to check out photos of these events throughout the issue.
Fraternally, our campuses continue to provide amazing opportunities
for those looking to retire and live in a community where they will continue to thrive.
Fraternally,
Brother Scott Buchanan
CEO, The Ohio Masonic Communities
