A hallmark of every summer, The Ohio Masonic Communities was proud to partner with Dream Flights again. This year, 20 residents who served their country were given a unique honor: the ride of a lifetime. Climbing into a 1940s Stearman biplane seems like a feat of its own. But, soaring the skies in the open cockpit is an experience unlike any other. The smiles on everyone’s faces after landing say it all.
After their flight, each veteran receives a special hat, signed just for them by the pilot. Extra memorable this year, one of the residents was a World War II veteran. After his flight, he was in for a treat. He got to sign the plane – a special honor reserved for those who served in WWII.
