The Masonic Youth Outreach Program hosts Intergenerational Day Camps at each campus of The Ohio Masonic Communities. These events allow youth to build relationships with residents, teaching them valuable skills they’ll have for a lifetime. It also greatly impacts the lives of residents who participate.
At the camps, residents and youth spend the day together doing activities such as making crafts, playing games, and even making their own pizzas for lunch.
The events allow youth and residents to build relationships as they teach each other values and skills. The lessons learned through guidance and mentorship promote positive outcomes by teaching the flexibility and resilience to face obstacles throughout life.
These events are open to the children and grandchildren of campus staff and residents, as well as any interested youth in the community. Be on the lookout for the announcement of next
year's dates!
Thank you to The Christ Foundation, who provided a portion of funding for this event with a generous grant!
