Brother Grant Kessler, current Senior Warden of Reynoldsburg Lodge #340, believes that first impressions truly do matter!
In 2017, Grant’s sister was pregnant with her first baby and it was almost time for lift off! The family arrived at the hospital to be together to welcome their new niece into the world. Brother Kessler decided to welcome his new niece in the only way he knew how – in a suit, tie, and pocket square! At first, Grant’s younger sister laughed to which he responded, “Impressions matter!”
This small gesture of classiness has garnered quite a bit of attention far and wide! Brother Kessler has been featured on many different national news stations such as NBC, Fox, Buzzfeed, USA Today, GQ, and many more newspaper articles. In one interview, Grant told NBC affiliate WCMH-TV, “When Carter’s older, I wanted her to look back and look at those pictures of the day she was born and see the like, respect, and attention she was getting that day. I think me wearing the suit was a small part of that.”
Not only did this capture the news’ attention, but it also took the social media world by storm! In Grant’s sisters post, quoting him saying “First Impressions Matter” with the attached picture, there were over 458,000 likes and 152,000 retweets in just three days!!
Grant’s choice to “Be Legendary” and dress to impress has definitely made an impact on baby Carter’s life and will be a great memory they’ll get to share together the rest of their lives! If you’re ever in doubt, be overdressed for the occasion!
