Brethren Recognized for 70 & 75 Years of Masonic Service


Charles J. Lindecamp
Past Grand Master Charles R. Murphy had the privilege of presenting Worshipful Brother Charles J. Lindecamp with his 70 year service award. He served as Worshipful Master of Erie Lodge No. 239 in 1952 and is 98 years old. He is already making plans to receive his 75-Year award.




Robert Creps
Grand Master Schau joined with the Brethren of Bellville Lodge No. 376 and the 20th Masonic District to present Worshipful Brother Robert Creps his 75 Year service award. The Presentation took place at Wedgewood Estates in Mansfield, Ohio. He served as Worshipful Master of Bellville Lodge in 1953 and is 96 years old.




Lawrence E. “Larry” Sarbaugh
Past Grand Master Murphy also traveled with the Brethren of Hubbard Lodge No. 220 to the “state up north” to present Worshipful Brother Lawrence E. “Larry” Sarbaugh with his 75 year service award. He served as Worshipful Master of Hubbard Lodge in 1989 and was elected Lodge Secretary in 1990 – an office he held for seven years. He retired as a Professor and Associate Dean of Communications at the Michigan State University. After his retirement, Larry and his wife Dorothy managed a Christmas tree farm on their acreage, originally owned by his maternal grandparents. He is 96 years old.




Fred R. Colburn
Worshipful Brother Fred R. Colburn of Harrisonville Lodge No. 411 was presented his 75 year service award by Worshipful Brother Roger Gaul. Brother Colburn is 100 years old and served as Master of Harrisonville Lodge in 1949. Fred has resided on his 160 plus acre farm in Athens County his entire life and continues to care for his twenty head of cattle. Harrisonville Lodge is celebrating its 150th anniversary this year, having been chartered in 1868.
