A Grand Centerpiece!

The Ohio Masonic Home Resource Center staff collaborated with the Western Reserve Masonic Community Wood Shop, and the Grand Commandery of Ohio in a project making centerpieces for the Grand Commandery Banquets. The guys at the wood shop were able to take countless pieces of wood and cut them into the shapes of shields. The ladies of the 8th division then took those pieces of wood and turned them into a coat of arms to represent every Grand Master of the Knights Templar. On the back of these shields, they attached a piece of worn and burnt paper with a story about that specific Grand Master, and illustrated his coat of arms on the front. The guys and ladies take a lot of pride in their work, and the opportunity to enrich a banquet honoring the Sir Knights in Ohio was icing on the cake.
